The True Talent Team

The True Talent Team is a talent development agency in Eindhoven. As students of the Fontys Hogeschool, we were always pushed to experiment with new and innovative technology. This has resulted in the creation of a VR talent exploration game. This VR experience is created to let children explore their talents in a gamified way. Research shows that children learn faster and hold information longer when information is presented in a fun and visual way.

The concept

As a team we were challenged by The True Talent Team to find new ways to make the coaching board interactive. The coaching board is a tool to present the outcome of the talent development test. The test makes you aware of the skills you do and might not have. The test also gives insight in creating the perfect team with people with different skill sets and characteristics.

Our concept came to life when talking about the difficulties understanding the test for younger kids. We wanted to make the test more accessible for these kids because we believe the test holds a lot of valuable information for a developing child.

The visuals

The coaching board is divided in 4 zones, feeling, thinking, sensing and intuition. for all these 4 zones we created 4 islands to explore. On these islands kids could find their strengths and weaknesses in a playful and interactive way. The compass in the middle of the board would guide you to the right islands.

The prototype

The prototype was created to test navigational functionalities, with this hi-fi prototype we gathered information on the visual appeal to kids and the understanding of interactions with the game.
